Select “Service Request” Entity type and click “Submit”
Search for “Handytrac” in the Interface Configuration search box.If vendor is not present, contact Yardi Technical Support to load the vendor package.
Select Handytrac.
Select the options desired on the vendor configuration screen. The default options are the minimum requirement.
Click on “Functions” drop down menu. Click on “Interface Configuration.”
Select Service Requests Interface Type from drop down .
Highlight Handytrac under Available Agencies. Click Select and Save.
Menu Path for a Property List:
Navigate to: Interfaces > Configuration > Bulk Property Configuration.
Enter property list code
Select Service Requests Interface Type from drop down
Select Configure.
Highlight Handytrac from list of Available Agencies and click Save.
Configure Interface Security Group
Creating a new Security Group may not be required if you already have one set for Interface Vendors. You can use an already created group as long as it has permissions for the required Interface Web Services listed below.
Navigate to: Roles > Administration > Add Group
Enter Code: “handytrac” and Description: “HandyTrac Key Control.”
Navigate to: Security > Set Permissions
Search for the newly created “handytrac” group.
Enter “Interface: Web Service” as the Description.
From the Permissions list, select Find then Edit.
Set the following Permissions to Read:
Interface Web Service: Service Requests
Interface Web Service: Common Data
Interface Web Service: Resident Data*
Save the security group permissions.
*Only required for unit pull feature with new system setup.
Configure the Interface User
Navigate to: System Administration > Security > Add User
Create a new interface user
Enter appropriate names for Code, First name, Last name.
Link to a security group for the specific Interface Type. The security group should have Read access to the Service Requests web service interface.
Enter the property code or property list code in the property field to allow interface user access to properties configured for Handytrac.
Create a Username and Password for the user
Save.
In the “Privileges” tab, check the box for “Interface User”. This will give user access through the web services, but not the Voyager front end.
Save.
Interface users do not count against a Yardi client’s license.
Yardi is generally configured company wide, with each property having their own ID. When setting up multiple sites for Yardi, all information would remain the same except the Yardi Property ID. If you are setting up Yardi for multiple properties, please send an email to service@handytrac.com with a list of property names and associated Yardi IDs. You do not need to submit a completed form for every individual property if they share the same Yardi configuration information.
