Exception Report

Exception Report

The Exception Report will display transactions that have exceptions associated with them. While most Exceptions indicate an undesirable action or an issue, not all of them do, and should instead be thought of as a way to provide additional information for a transaction.

List of Exceptions and their Meaning

  • Out Pressed - An employee signed out of the system without completing a transaction.
  • Timed Out - An employee did not sign out of the system correctly and instead the system automatically signed them out after 60 seconds.
  • No Scan - An employee requested a key, but they did not scan the key out to verify.
  • Incorrect PIN - The incorrect PIN was entered for an employee badge
  • Third Incorrect PIN - The incorrect PIN was entered for an employee badge three times in a row. For older Generation 10 systems, this will prevent further use of the badge until it is reset.
  • Invalid Employee - The badge that was scanned (or the badge number that was typed in) is not currently assigned to an active employee.
  • No Badge - A badge was not physically scanned to sign in to the system. Instead, the badge number was manually typed in.
  • Tag Not in System - The key tag what was scanned for the transaction is not assigned to any unit in the system
  • Key Set to Manager - Same as Tag Not in System on older HandyTrac systems.
  • Previous Tag - When a keytag is edited, the tag number with this exception is the old key tag number that was replaced. This will only display if a successful tag edit is performed.
  • Building Pull - A building pull was performed.
  • Restricted - A restricted unit was requested by an employee.
Some exceptions are unique to certain systems.
