Log in to the HandyTrac system with a badge or fingerprint that has master access.
Press activity code “04” to edit a key tag.
Edit by Key Tag
Press 1
Type in the old keytag number.
Scan your new keytag and the system will confirm it was replaced.
Edit by Unit
Press 2
Type in the unit number then press Enter.
Scan your new keytag and the system will confirm it was replaced.
You only need to complete one of these processes, depending on which is easier for you based on the information you have. You do not need to complete both.
Generation 10 System 4.7 Version and Earlier*
Login in to the HandyTrac system with a badge or fingerprint that has master access.
Press activity code “04” to edit a key tag.
Type in the old keytag number. The old keytag number can be found on the keymap.
Scan your new keytag and the system will confirm it was replaced.
*Press “Clear, Backspace, Enter, Alpha” (one after the other) on the keypad, then press 1 to View Statistics. your firmware version will be listed at the end.
If you enter "02" and the system stays at the "Activity" screen, it means your badge does not have Master Access.
Notes
If you manually type in an old keytag number and the system advises it is not recognized as a valid tag, it means the old tag is not currently assigned. You should use the Search Keytag Report on the website to look up the history of the keytag to see if was every assigned in your system.
A keytag can only be replaced with a tag that is not currently assigned to any location in the system. This means that keytags assigned to extra locations, such as ADMIN### or EXTRA### cannot be used for other units. It is recommended that a new pack of spare keytags are purchased to replace lost or damaged keytags.
